Golden Axe, 1989. I have yet to find out if the gamer urban legend about this game is true, about how the screams in Golden Axe were actually recorded off death row inmates. It’s easy to write this off as a playground rumor or gaming urban legend, until it turned out that the equally farfetched sounding rumor that Michael Jackson did the music for Sonic 3 turned out to be absolutely correct.
