The View From My WindowThe chalk wall that borders the field next to me is being repaired. The workman is carefully making by hand chalk “bricks” that are dried in the sub and then cut to fit. This is a modern technique that saves time and effort to save a three hundred year old wall. We repaired our own part of this wall fifteen years ago, so I am delighted that our neighbours who own the field are now finally getting around to doing it. -- source link
