The Funtom Cafe is a limited-time Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji (黒執事) themed cafe in the Q-Plaza in Harujuku, Tokyo. The cafe runs through the end of February and reservations are required. With each reservation (¥2800), you receive a special themed dinner, bar of chocolate, tote bag & paper place mat. The choices are either Sebastian (bacon quiche & mini sandwiches) or Ciel (maple scone & mini sandwiches). Additional desserts & drinks can be purchased from the bar once inside the cafe. Each drink order comes with one random coaster (8 to collect), each dessert order comes with two. Drinks are set at ¥700 & desserts range from ¥1200-1800.This cafe was unique in the sense that you were given a seat number when you lined up & when you entered the cafe your food was already at your table.Goods are, of course, available - however they’re selling out quickly. Gachapon/Capsule machines inside the cafe offer buttons & postcard sets.In the middle of dinner, a special video plays showing Yana Toboso (the manga artist)’s art progress on her “Transparent Specimen” piece. As well, there is a video message/interview with Daisuke Ono, the voice of Sebastian. It was a much different experience than our usual cafe visits. Definitely check it out if you’re in Tokyo.
