While I was prepping the cushions for this bench, I realized we haven’t showed y’all the slat bed design! . Throughout the build we have applied #permaculture principles to our design… namely: Stacking Functions. . Now, we can all agree that aesthetics will always count as a function (because art enhances a space so much!!), but we hope to make sure that every element of #magpiethebus is also dynamic & multifunctional. . This design incorporated: 1) couch/bench seating for 1-4 2) instrument storage underneath 3) pull-out slat bed (about twin size but better than nothing for our guests) 4) shoe and miscellaneous storage on the end 5) end piece will also serve as an arm rest and cup holders… stay tuned to see how the end piece “stacks” even more functions… 6) oh yeah, and it doesn’t look too shabby does it?
