I would rather be making what I make then have no job at all because companies can’t afford the new minimum wage. And that is part of why I don’t support this. I would quite like to still have a job.Raising the minimum wage is not a one way street.I currently make 12$ an hour. If the minimum wage was raised, I wouldn’t still be making 12. If be making about 15.Companies would all be affected by this, and have to raise the prices Of their goods and services. But with everyone’s wages shifted, they would still be able to afford it. It’s a balance scale that automatically balances if you change prices to reflect it.I saw a really great article about how, in order for McDonald’s to pay all of its minimum wage employees 10, or 11$ an hour they would only have to raise their prices a nickle. -- source link
