Morally grey and just so freaking awesome! . Callie is awesome and I honestly didn’t expect this series to open up with a murder scene. But we open with young 16yo Callie (who is half Siren, btw) calling in her favour to our boy Des, aka The Bargainer. . Sea basically saves her life and we’re treated to a number of flashbacks to teen Callie hanging with the big bad Bargainer, calling in favours untill she has over 300+ debts. . Then suddenly, he’s gone, out if her life in an instant and it’s not until 7 years later that he returns. Callie, now a badass detective and rightfully pissed. And that’s where the fun begins! . I have the usual suspects when it comes to Fae books, but I really fell hard for this dark and steamy romance series.
