GW1 (2005) // GW2 (2017)Elon Riverlands (Part 2)Only one thing has inflicted change on the ancient structures in this part of the desert: Joko. Either the vistas have remained nearly unscathed for 250 years, such as the Throne of Pellentia, or they are now framed by Joko’s immense bone wall. Or, for the rest of the riverlands, the flooding itself. For once not caused by Zhaitan, Joko diverted the river Elon in 1135AE to cause famine in Vabbi and Kourna, making them easier to claim, and turned the desert to the north into wetlands (although it seems Kralkatorrik’s brandscar hit the dam and restored the river’s natural flow). A statue of an armoured human in the Arid Sea, visible in the background above, collapses in realtime when the played approaches it, allowing them to walk over its body to a raised plateau. This statue still lies there, albeit more mossy, serving the same purpose after two centuries. “I’ve spent countless years guarding this place. And for what? These memories contain only death and sorrow.I had faith in the Sunspears. Faith we could beat Joko, but there was only pain—again and again and again.” -- source link
