The perfect “Fender” Swinger doesn’t exi…. At this point I should never be surprised that guitar like this gets made, but the love and thought evident in the design of this Swinger (made in Japan by Schecter, no less) is astounding. It’s truly all good news for anyone that found the Swinger too compact or lacking in rich features in any respect. Ash body, slab rosewood 22 fret fingerboard, satin-finished maple neck, full 25 1/2” scale and a 1 11/16” nut. The Schecter Monstertones (a favorite of mine for bass, and also dandy for guitar) are true overwound single coils, but coil tapped *halfway through the coil.* Just pull up on that Tone pot for around 5k ohms or let the full coil do its meaty, ceramic magnet thing at over 8k. Vibrato unit is icing on the cake! Truly warms my heart to see an established guitar company taking one of Fender’s most esoteric models and give it the proverbial glow up. #schecter #Japanguitars #FenderSwinger (at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar) https://www.instagram.com/p/CYaRaxQJ_Lm/?utm_medium=tumblr -- source link
