Gathering Acorns stitched by getyouryayasoutahere. Pattern designed by Cottage Garden Samplings.“It was a gift of sorts from my sister who passed before she was able to stitch it. I found it going over charts my sister meant to do. I believe she bought it to do for me as I have a number of squirrels that come to my kitchen window in search of nuts on a daily basis.I used 36 count linen and two strands over two threads. I’m like using the higher count linen so I can end up with smaller stitched area for eventual framing. Those big jobs get pretty expensive.I prefer to do the classic type of stitching rather than the elaborate works. Those big art ones are gorgeous but I no longer have the eyesight to sit and stitch them and the amount of confetti they contain is a definite draw back for me.” -- source link
