Arthur Rhodes, 1917 (PEF-P-RHODES-111). This is a loose albumen print made from a negative by Zangaki (active 1870-1900). It shows the interior (central nave) of the Mosque El Aqsa. In the left lower corner of the print ‘Zangaki’ is written. In the right lower corner:’Jerusalem N 1213 Mosque El Aksa’. See also P 2478 This is a cropped albumen print made from Phillips’ original negative, mounted on card (for further details, see P 624). It was one of a series of mounted prints labelled and sold by the PEF. This specific print was given by Mr E Broughton, in Feb 1918, as part of a whole set of PEF photos. This is a loose albumen print made from an original negative (probably 30 x 24 cm) by Bonfils of Beirout. It shows a ceremony being held by Greeks and Armenians at the Stone of the Unction just within the entrance of the Church of the Holy Sepuclchre. “Bonfils” and “248 [another scratched out number] Pierre de l’anction. This is a photochrome print made by the Photochrom Co., Zurich (sometimes also known as the Photoglob Co.).It shows a group of 5 men and one boy from the Bethlehem region. Written on back: “Christian peasants from Villages near Bethlehem. Gift of (1957) Miss Estelle Blythe, 70 Woodstock Road Bedford… (?)” Written in gold letters on front “15138 PZ Paussans des Environs de Bethlehem” -- source link
