merry927:beemill:demonic-mnemonic:If that ain’t the truthnot quite true… the US would first have to falsely accuse itself of having WMDs and falsely accuse itself of gassing or using chemical weapons on their own people and then plant false evidence for it, and then get false testimony of paid survivors/witnesses of the all the massive human rights abuses and violations going on… and then… wait a minute… this is all really happening here… i’m confused. You guys are kind of missing what’s really going on here. We have always supported tyranny, when tyranny helps our “national interests” (i.e. the interests of multinational corporations and banks). The government is only against authoritarianism and human rights abuses when it threatens capitalism and western hegemony. Remember, we were allied with Saddam Hussein and sending military support when the Kurds were gassed in Halabja.Really ought to look into our foreign policy in Haiti and the rest of Central America and the Caribbean too. Seriously, our foreign policy toward Haiti to this day is about retribution for being Black slaves who overthrew the white slave-owning overclass in 1791. -- source link
