elsewheregreen:The Liberal Democrats…. If you’re in the UK: vote Labour ffs. @ihadtheangleblade Labour’s Emma Dent Coad won it with a majority of 20 in 2017 (11333 votes). Lib Dem Sam Gyimah doesn’t have a chance of winning it (Lib Dems 3rd place with only 4724 votes in 2017). The Lib Dems have tried to present ex-Tory Sam as the tactical candidate to help prevent Brexit or some nonsense. They’ve lied there and elsewhere which is why I’m furious with them for putting party-political ambition over anything else, plus Sam Gyimah tried to slander MP Emma Dent Coad over Grenfell too, she threatened to sue him for libel and reported him to the police. All that encouraging anyone away from Labour will achieve is to return the seat to the Tories. And this is the constituency where the Grenfell Fire happened, much/all of which was the responsibility of the Tory led local council, and the government. -- source link
