chequerootlurks: Traditional art: Pointillism/Stippling. I draw the outlines in pencil, then do the shading in hundreds of tiny ink dots. When the piece is completed, and the ink has dried, I erase the pencil lines. This was finished maybe 2012, I think? It went on to be reproduced, and the artwork used as donated prizes for some German Shepherd specialty shows. The other day at work, I had several hours of downtime. I did a quick little pointillism piece of a three-headed hellhound for a coworker. It was on copystock, dotted with the Pilot Pen I keep in my drawer. I don’t have a pic, alas.I don’t draw as much as I used to, but I sneak in a few pieces here and there. -- source link
