coldflashevents:THE FUTURE OF COLDFLASHEVENTSSo I’m sure most of you have already seen the sad news that the previous mods of coldflashevents have decided to step down. I’ve always loved this blog. I’ve really enjoyed participating in the events and seeing everyone else’s amazing contributions over the years, and I always eagerly awaited announcement of new events. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. So I’m pleased to announce that this blog is officially under new management!I want to say a massive thank you to @kleptoandpyro and the other mods for handing me the reigns; I hope I can live up to the amazing standards you all set for previous events.Some of you may already know me as @coldflasher (and if you don’t, feel free to come and say hi!) Full disclosure: I’ve never run any fan events before, but I’m extremely passionate about this ship and I’m excited to get stuck in! I’m already brainstorming plans for the first event of 2022. I’m thinking of starting off small with just a weekend event to help me find my feet, and then if that goes well we can look at moving onto full week-long events, big bangs, all that good stuff :DI’d love to hear everyone’s feedback on what kind of events you’d like to see, prospective dates, etc. Right now I’m leaning towards a mini summer event at the end of August—let me know if that date works, or if you’d like more time to prepare! I’m open to any and all feedback to make sure this runs as smoothly as possible.Once we have a date in place for our first event, I’ll start thinking about prompts, etc., so if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to send them my way, and we’ll go from there. I know as a writer, I always like it when there are lots of prompts to choose from, so any ideas are welcome! Thanks again to the previous mods for letting me take over, and I’m excited to get started :D  -- source link
