Making a girl go and stand in the corner is such a cliche… but cliches exist for a reason, in this case because it’s damn effective. Lifting the skirt is a lovely touch. Abandonment, being ignored or disregarded, seems to be an important experience for most subs. They have to be shown that they don’t matter, that you don’t really care much for them, that you can go on perfectly well without them. They often slip deeply into a very dark place when left alone… but the rush of relief when you return to them and do give them some attention seems to wipe that all away. -- source link
