aolmusic: King Tuff bursts out of a door in a dirty, winding hallway in the back of Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory looking more like a character from “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” than a rock star. CMJ is enough to make anyone look like a kid lost in a candy factory, but Tuff is the sort of musical Roald Dahl who takes it all in stride, deadpanning jokes left and right. I can’t help but join in, and when I call him a “Stupid Superstar” — a reference to one of the songs off his self-titled new record — he looks genuinely pissed off, then starts giggling.
