I bought Diablo 3 on sale and beat it. I really don’t recommend this game, it is pretty bad tbh. Very bland and really low difficulty. Incredibly low difficulty. It wouldn’t let me raise the difficulty any more past “hard” without starting a new character, which I wasn’t going to do due to sunk cost, so I just tried to sprint through later levels as fast as possible… but apparently all the enemy difficulties/stats scale according to your level, so this doesn’t even put you at a disadvantage. Here was my character, but even this is extremely misleading as there are only a handful of (~6) models for each item of armor/clothing, per character. So throughout the game you just keep getting what are called new items but basically all look visually identical. They have a feature where you can pay to change which model an item looks like and to tint it a different color, but it’s not anywhere close to satisfying. These Armor models are also unique to the character that you choose to play as, which feels really un-satisfying. If you equip the a piece of heavy shoulder armor as a necromancer, you’ll get armor with skulls on it, but if you give that exact same item to another player on a different class, it’ll look like something that is appropriate to their class, even though it was the same item. And this reallly hurts a customizable feel. For example, you can’t get the witch doctor to wear pants, because all pants that you pick up turn into some variety of loincloth on her. Great. This also means it is no fun traveling to different locations. It’d be cool if when you went to the snowy mountains, you started getting fur cloaks and fur boots and things, or if you went to a desert you got desert-themed items. But, you don’t, because everything shares the same models.Storyline is very uninteresting. The world is also very linear, which is not necessarily bad but is a little surprising because it seems like the gameplay would work well with a Hyrule Field-type open hub world. And then also going through areas with low level enemies that were once challenging would be a good way to show how you have grown in strength. I am not going to play Diablo 4, but maybe they will do that there. -- source link
