hornman20: So here’s a collage of me playing the horn for French Horn Friday. 1 (top) - Me as a high school freshman, playing a school-owned Yamaha single. 2 (second row, left) - Me playing the same school horn, in the pit orchestra for (I think) “Once Upon a Mattress.” 3 (second, right) - Me soloing in a high school jazz ensemble concert. I’m playing a silver Holton 179 that I owned at the time. His name was Dennis (after Dennis Brain.) 4 (Middle, left) - Me playing Dennis with the high school jazz ensemble at a church. 5 (Middle, right) - A pic (probably taken by my mom) of me playing with the MCYO, I forget which group. 6 (Bottom, left) - Me as a college freshman playing Dennis at an 8.5 hour practice-a-thon to raise money for the music department. 7 (Bottom, middle) - Me playing either a Lawmaha (Yamaha horn with Lawson parts) or my current horn Julius (A gold Paxman 20L, named after Julius Watkins) at Kendell Betts Horn Camp during the summer of 2012. 8 - (Bottom, right) - The most current pic of me with Julius.
