As a Marine veteran with tours of duty to the Balkans 25 years ago, my own ‘ghosts’ suddenly emerged last week during a business trip to the old theatre of operations and I have been off the grid ever since, dealing with it. There is no fast or easy solution and nobody was as surprised as I was.Now, a week later, I feel my kinky side resurfacing and I’ll resume my blogging. This post is in sympathy with the many servicemen and women who have taken part in peacekeeping or peace/law-enforcing security operations throughout the world and taken scars to their mental health. -- source link
