dog-rose:My Distress Box:I wanted something that could eat up or frizzle away all the nasty crap that happens in certain emotional spells or in curses, but it also ended up doubling as a sort of stress reliever…I wanted it to be simple and here is what is needed:A box - any optional magic you add to this box in the way of sigils and wards is up to you. Perhaps a one way in and no ways out would be a good system to set up if you can but it’s not necessary at all. I got this cute little rock on a jaunt with my boyfriend, it reminds me of Welcome to Night Vale with the little eyes and pyramids!A dark rock - the third pic is a smoky quartz, I love smoky quartz as it’s ideal for fizzling away nasty shit and negativity. Obsidian, tourmaline, onyx, jet (if that counts) - or even a rock painted a dark colour. But heck’ you could put a poppet in there or anything to act as an absorbing agent.A Pinch of Salt - this acts as an ingredient to cleanse and banish the negativity. Rock, sea, kosher - whatever is at hand. Black salt might be something as a special extra if you can make/get hold of it!So it works by the rock/poppet/whatever absorbing the negativity, the salt dispelling it and the box contains it from “leaking.”Leave the box open as you work with magic or when you feel gloomy and despondent - this will help soak up the crappiness. But you could open it during gatherings of friends to create a nice atmosphere, keep it open as you sleep to keep the room happy, whatever really…I change the salt after a curse or a particularly horrible day when I’ve had to use it, but I change it on the new moon (when I remember - if I forget, I chuck it out at dusk…)I highly recommend these as they are simple, discrete and work so well. -- source link
