ilanabonell: Paola M FranquiFranqui, also known as Monaris, was born in Puerto Rico and now resides in New York City, where she captures images of people within the city. She specializes in visual storytelling, and alwasy tries to push her boundaries in mastering timing and observing. These images are from her work called reflection stories. She says this project started when she was uninspired and looked at Vivian Maier and Saul Leiter’s works. She says that they used reflections to tell stories. “I was used to looking ahead and what was right in front of me, but reflections pushed me to look for different perspectives.
