Since their theme was “Light in Shadow”, they added 2 members from Eagles to form the unit “光”… Eventually in June 25th they announced their debut to the press. This is the first group that had a 2 sub-groups division. In August of that year, they released their first single STAR LIGHT that debuted at #1. What separated them from other groups at the time was the fact that they performed on roller skates. They were a really popular group back in the day, but then Mikki and Hiro-kun left in 1994. After that there were only 5 members, and they renamed themselves to Hikaru GENJI Super 5. Only to break up again, a year after, this time for good. Only Kinoppy and Akkun remain in the agency, since the others have pursued a career as solo artists.
