fortheninth:Here’s my card for the 2020 Locked Tomb Tarot project !! (The Fool, ft. the Mystery Epilogue Character). shoutout to @lionettscourage for organizing the project and @winterhazelly for the lovely border! Here’s last year’s Gideon-themed deck - I didn’t do a card for that one, but I had so much fun working on the Harrow one this year! I know very VERY little about tarot, but a good deal about both art and the Locked Tomb series, so maybe it balances out?? I scrapped the pose from the traditional Fool card but took the floral tunic pattern for the robe and background. [Image descriptions: A digital drawing in various shades of gray with bright blue accents, of a hooded figure in front of a window. Their robe is medium gray and overlaid with a pattern of abstract leaves and flowers in a slightly darker gray. They are standing facing forward, with the hood pulled over their head so only their mouth is showing. Their arms are held curled in front of their body, accepting two objects given to them from out of frame. From the left, a slightly lighter-skinned hand places a pair of bones in the figure’s left hand; on the right, a darker-skinned hand passes them the hilt of a long sword. Both the sword and bones are outlined with a blue glow. Behind the figure is a wall decorated with the same floral pattern as the robe, and a large open window showing an abstract cityscape in shades of blue. The city consists of buildings with rounded tops and spires, and several floating orbs, and blue light from the window highlights the edges of the figure’s robe. There is a gray “0” centered above their head. There are two images; they are exactly the same, except the first one has an added border of broken white bones along the sides, a chain weapon with a blue handle along the top and bottom, and a skull at each corner with glowing blue eyes. The card with the border is set on a black background, and has text below it reading “0. The Fool”/end ID] -- source link
