Demons in this setting aren’t actually demons, but people who did pacts with extraplanar beings and are changed in time by them, both in body and mind.However, the being she did a pact with -who manifest in golden and black body parts, most commonly eyes and a smoking arm- has a surprisingly nice and merciful relationship with her. She rarely elaborates, as she works for Overseer Industries, and they aren’t too fond of their people meddling around with things bigger than them. -- source link
