#Repost @aspieangel (@get_repost)・・・TW: physical abuse and trauma......A book shared to my by my therapist. I’m sad that I know the pain of physical abuse. I’m sad that my autistic traits caused teachers to rip me out of class with nails buried deep into my skin. And once on the hall alone they would yell and yell. I never heard a word. I have audio processing disorder, hyperacusus, and mysophonia. I would verbally stim in class to help with the noise in school and I was punished for it repeatedly, severely, and it traumatized me. I’m sad that my school mates learned from teachers and principles how to treat me and they attacked me too. I’m sad that I have PTSD from it and my body kept that trauma stored for so long. I’m sad that I can’t tell if my aversion to touch is from abuse or from sensory processing. I speak for the little girl in me that went undiagnosed. I use my voice now because I didn’t have the words then to say, “I’m in pain.” I didnt have the words to explain why, but I do now. If you too know this pain please know you aren’t alone. I understand. We aren’t broken. We are different. And our beauty lies in that difference. I speak so that the world may also see we deserve love, acceptance, and care, not bullying, abuse, rejection and neglect.I see you autistic family, and I’m in awe of your beauty and strength. You aren’t broken. You are beautiful. ...#actuallyautistic #autisticadults #autisticwomen #aspergirls #autism #aspergers #neurodivergent #neurodiverse #neurodiversity #autismacceptance #stimming #stimmingpride #stim #sensoryprocessing #autismpride #audioprocessing #hyperacusis #mysophonia #spd #apd -- source link
