tomato-bird:custom tattoo sleeve design commission (2021)(use and reproduction of this commission design is ONLY permitted for the artist and original commissioner. One of my favorite things I’ve had the chance to work on– know I say that about like, everything, but truly I always love being able to work on large complex projects like this. I took a lot of inspiration from medieval and orthodox-style artwork to bring this to life using a lot of reds and bold colors, which I really enjoyed. The high-res and unwatermarked version, as well as the lineart-only version is available to view on patre0n as usual.[ID: a vertical sleeve illustration made up of three angel inspired patterns and designs, connected loosely by firey patterns.  The top design is of a six-winged seraph with a red halo surrounded by orange flame and surrounded by eye designs, the text around the angelic figure reads “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of Hosts / The whole earth is full with his Glory”. The second image below it is of an Ophan, or wheeled angel with three interlinked rings covered with eyes with brown irisies and flanked with two pairs of wings, surrounded by red and blue flames. The text around it reads “Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty / who was and is and is to come / Worthy are you our Lord and God to receive Glory and Honor and Power”. The Third image is of two intertwined winged serpent figures with green leaves and branches behind them. The serpents have red haloes and have bodies covered with eyes with brown irises. The text around them reads “For you created all things / and by your will they existed and were created.” The last three images are detail shots of the larger image focusing on the three main elements.  /end ID] -- source link
