Today I want to talk about binge eating and emotional overeating. This is something I’ve personally struggled with for most of my life, and only recently feel I have come to a better place with. It hasn’t been easy and it’s not always perfect now. But there are ways out of it, and here are some resources that may be helpful: “Sugar Addiction” by Amber Rogers of GoKaleo.com is a great rundown on what sugar addiction is and why so many of us are prone to overeating sugary foods to the detriment of our health, both mental and physical. “How to Prevent Binge Eating” is a terrific article on the differences between pathological and unpleasant bingeing and treating oneself to something “unhealthy,” and finding a balance in one’s eating habits. I highly recommend the author’s free ebook; you have to give your email address to get to the download link, but it’s a quick read and totally worth it. Everything at Stumptuous.com, really, but especially the free ebook Fuck Calories by Krista Scott-Dixon. No nonsense advice for people who want to pare down their diets to something more sensible, healthful, and sane. Finally, because this is often a concern, Nerd Fitness’ article Help! I’m poor but want to eat healthy! has great advice for those of us who want to improve their diets but don’t know how to do it without going bankrupt. Good luck, happy reading, and don’t hesitate to ask me if you have any questions or concerns! -- source link
