Ok well I was going to try and double back and roundup the rest of the bands I neglected from before but it’s virtually impossible to not want to sit down and write this Lodro bit now so I’m just going to. LODRO. Opened for Napoleon, Slander and Weekend at Shea Stadium on 4/26 or 27 or something and I couldn’t believe how unshakably attached I was to their live show. It would be the first of 3 times that I’ve seen them in the past 3 weeks and every single time is exactly what you’re hoping for from the same band you saw not-particularly-long-ago. I couldn’t even tell if the set was exactly the same I didn’t even care I was singing along to dark basslines I was humming scathing guitar bits immediately after a song finished. It makes sense that they’re being picked up for what seems like every gig in New York City right now. I’ll probably be at them. EDIT: Now that I think about it I haven’t found a list of their upcoming shows anywhere I just see the name on an event and change every single one of my plans to make it. Follow them on Twitter for updates as to when these are. Other tidbits that can be easily found other places on the internet: Lesley used to play bass in Friends and all three of them are mems. Royal Baths so their quality isn’t exactly untested. -- source link
