The rogatywka is the modern evolution of the czapka. It is four pointed and asymmetrical. The top example belongs, I believe, to a lieutenant in the artillery. The bottom is a combat version for enlisted men. The Polish military uses colored bands on the cap rather than insignia to differentiate between branches of service.
