yaoi-blcd: from what i read on weibo, it seems that tan jiu’s 1/5 post was because someone posted on a japanese facebook ‘this can only happen in japan’. tan jiu is chinese and her works are manhua (chinese). also please do not post her works without proper credit back to her. if you are using our translations we’d even be okay with you ignoring the credit back to us as long as you credit the original author. also someone apparently published her work in a newspaper without their studio’s consent. while moss has allowed fanworks for their works, PLEASE do not post old xian/tan jiu/moss’s stuff for profit/publications/print without their approval. our translations are only here to help spread love for their works and can only beg that you do not abuse them. thank you. EDIT: okay, i just did some digging in and what’s worse is that it was our translations that were used without appropriate crediting back to the author. at first i thought it was people taking the original images so now this directly complicates us in to the mix. again, our translations are only meant to spread the knowledge of these authors so if there’s no appropriate crediting back to them then we will have to stop our translations. we don’t want to contribute to the problem. we’ll wait to see what moss’s response is in the next few days to decide our next step. -- source link
