間違える [to fuck up] I’ve finally arrived :D That was quite a long trip, but it went smoothly. The plane was pretty modern so there was a USB adapter for charging my phone, also a good screen for the on-board entertainment. I finally managed to watch Star Wars, wohooo! I enjoyed it a lot actually, great characters and much hype for episode VIII. The food was pretty nice as well and somehow the 12 hours went by quickly enough (sadly I am not able to sleep on planes so I always have to keep myself occupied). My lack of sleep started showing, though. When I grabbed my suitcase from the conveyor I did notice it felt a little light, but it did not occur to me that someone else could, in fact, have a suitcase that looks just like mine. Only when the customs officer made me open it, I realized my mistake. Luckily the real owners were still near the conveyor and spotted me quickly and so everyone ended up with their own luggage. I messed up again later by taking the wrong train towards my Airbnb but that only cost me like 10 minutes. I did enjoy seeing Tokyo again, it’s nice and sunny here so everything looks just… charming is the word I think of, though it’s heavily influenced by nostalgia. Either way I’m really thrilled to be here. Stopped by a convenience store to gather some drinks and snacks. Some things I already know and love and some new stuff (see 3rd picture). The top row shows: a dessert with vermicelle (swiss sweetened maroon paste pressed into spaghetti shape) which we discovered the last time we were here, pickled cucumbers, potato salad sandwich (which, as it turns out, had fish roe mayo on it… it tasted pretty good but I should be more careful about what I buy xD) and a green tea that I bought solely because I saw an ad for it on the subway which I could actually read and understand. Below that, there’s macarons, which, if history taught me anything, should be fucking delicious. My Airbnb is kinda small and really cold but cute enough. Also the area seems to have a ton of shops and restaurants which I will check out later. First, sleep. また明日! -- source link
