Fairy godmother wig, Shrek (2018) at Windy City Performs; Hair/makeup design by Auden Granger This wig came to me incredibly tangled, matted, and damaged. It had large visible bald patches where the curls had been lifted up. The clasp on the resizing band inside had been snapped and the wig wanted to fold over and rest around the actor’s chin. I washed, deshined, detangled, straightened, recurled, and sealed the curls, repaired the sizing band, and stuffed the interior of the wig to maintain its shape and position on the head.
