a well deserved decadent day out at the spa c:below the cut some ask replies and also a few of my recent pieces sans lines; they were not painted to go without them and it shows but i think they have a certain charm to them !thank you meowster chief! that is an honour, i am really glad my art makes you happy when it pops up <3i cannot say i ever considered doing adoptables (i last heard of them circa 2010 on deviantART haha), but i do love the idea of “collectible” pre designed characters and i do enjoy drawing things like that a lot, so definitely something worth looking into! i do have commissions open and yes i’d definitely take on work in that vein if people wanted <3that is truly amazing to know <3 several friends recently got (back) into art thanks to my pestering them with my work constantly and it’s so wonderful to come along with them on that journey and see how fast they improve and moreover how proud they are of themselves and happy to be able to make images out of all their awesome ideas. i would love to see your work too anon!thank you so much fox! i do tend to cycle through various styles over the course of 2-3 years then repeat the process but (hopefully!) improved when i retrace my old paths. in the world of illustration it is important to have a brand (to be a brand really, which i never felt comfortable with) and a very specific cohesive look, but i’ve always found that immensely limiting, especially to what you’re trying to say. much like you choose a different palette and different textures to tell what you wish to be told, it goes the same between realistic or naive art, super rendered or really simplistic. so inbetween all that i do think my colours and lighting and textures are what ties it all together :) i am really glad it shows and very grateful for your kind words <3 -- source link
