She’s actually an alien race known as the Asari, who have blue skin. But here’s what’s interesting about that, she actually has a rare genetic mutation found in the asari known as the ‘ardark-yakshi’, which unlike normal asari kill whoever they have sex with. This is where she got the name Widowmaker. They are known to enjoy killing, which is why she joined Talon.
