Summer Tourists and Infinity Sculpture, National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution
Summer Tourists and Infinity Sculpture, National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution, National Mall, 1969.Opened in 1964, the facility was then called the Museum of History and Technology and was one of two Smithsonian museums on the National Mall. The opening of additional Smithsonian facilities led to a sharper focus on just US history, and it was renamed in 1980. In the early 2000s it was refurbished. With exhibits like the Ft. McHenry “Star Spangled Banner,” the original UNIVAC computer and Julia Child’s kitchen, it remains popular, though the nearby Smithsonian Air and Space and Natural History museums draw more visitors. -- source link
