Eithel Sirion is the spring that is the source of the great river Sirion, located on the Eastern side of the Ered Wethrin, a vast mountain range that made up the border of Hithlum. It was also directly West of Ard Galen, the green plains. Barad Eithel, the fortress of Fingolfin at Eithel Sirion was actually just outside the boundary of Hithlum but was often considered part of it.
