Many artists use nude models for their paintings and sketches… I have Dot, my dog. I’ve been wanting to do a portrait of her for a while now. This one was just for me - who else wants a picture of MY dog, right? But it was a fun project and I may try to start doing other people’s pet portraits. The size is 11 x 14 and it’s 9 layers. Yeah, the colors kind of got out of hand at the end. The only one I really don’t like is the brown one because she’s a white dog, but all the others I’m ok with. With all the moving and having things in boxes, I haven’t had a chance to work on it until just recently. Took about a month to complete (or 4 weekends). -- source link
