Abstracts in Recovery #4Less pretty this one, but I love this process. When I was younger in one of my classes I was instructed to “draw the music”, and of course what they meant was make a picture about how the music made you feel or what you thought of during it, but I couldn’t do that. I did it literally. I drew…how the music moved in my mind. Which, of course, made no sense to anyone else. You see I started on the green dot, and ended at the red. If you squint and try real hard you can follow from where I started to spiral around to the loops at the bottom right, then the cresendo up and around again then suddenly fading to the light whisps by the red dot. That is how I felt the music of around the midpoint of Stolckholme Syndrome by Muse. I do these a lot actually. It’s one of my usual warm ups when I’m feeling good actually. The point of this one is just to get myself moving.I have a hard time starting on something, but if I’m already moving freely it helps keep things going. Line weight, spacing, overlap… I do not pay attention to it, I just move. Not exactly like the other pieces of this “”project”” but I thought it was important to share because I really enjoy this process. -- source link
