felitomkinson: Hello! My name is Feli Pugliese Tomkinson and I’m a wlw illustrator/designer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. For years now I have had a dream of launching a clothing line geared towards LGBT+ individuals, and with Sapphic Apparel, that is what I intend to do. I have a very deep love for unisex streetwear fashion and I want to mix that with LGBT+ themes in order to create a brand made by, and tailored to, people like me. I want to incorporate graphic designs and typography associated with our culture on fine quality clothing materials. T-shirts, hoodies, jeans, with a twist that displays pride for who we are and what we believe in. While the concepts above are geared towards WLW, I intend to create and produce merchandise for all members of the spectrum once the line launches. I also would like to donate 10% of all proceeds to LGBT shelters in the US and hopefully, one day, expand those horizons. Our sense of unity is by no means defined by what we choose to wear, but if I can create another link through fashion, that is what I want to do!The funds I am asking for will be used for trademarking purposes (approximately U$D 2000 will go towards licensing and registering the brand and be granted protection, both in Argentina and the US) and the rest will go into tailoring, printing, prototypes and launching the brand officially through hiring LGBT artists who would like to contribute officially. I want Sapphic to be for us, but not exclusively limited to us. Anyone who supports our cause and loves clothes is encouraged to rock our apparel, LGBT or not. I am aiming to collect the funds in the following 3 months to get the registering process going. I have already met with tailors and printing facilities representatives and am in talks to develop high quality clothing with high quality designs, so of course the financial support will be tremendously appreciated and I will be so grateful for any penny donated. I wish I had the funds myself right now to launch this whole process directly, but working as a freelance illustrator sadly does not cover it between the rest of my expenses. I strive to one day live off doing what I love, which is illustrating for a cause. This is my cause. This is for you. So if you want to help me make this happen, you are part of this just as much as I am! Help spread the word! Every reblog and like counts, as well as every single cent.
