johannadc:Personally, no matter how attractive Andrew Scott is (and he is cute), I don’t ever need to read anything more with Moriarty when it comes to Sherlock stories. He’s overused to the extent it’s become boring, and too many people think “he’s crazy so he doesn’t need motive or characterization”. No more Moriarty for me! Although…Maybe there’s potential for the character if he reforms. Maybe he becomes a priest to redeem himself, seeking penance through helping others while tortured mentally by the thoughts of what he’s done. Maybe he encounters a wisecracking, crazy-in-her-own-way, tall, slender brunette and falls for this unknown Holmes sister. Maybe there’s drama in how he’s torn between his new calling and his fascination with intelligent, fascinating, unusual people who are too clever for their own good. But eventually, he refuses to go down that path again, and they must part. THAT take on Moriarty, I would read. Reblogging myself from a year ago cause I still kind of like this “angst for Moriarty” idea. -- source link
