The Roshar Project↳ AimiaAimia was an island kingdom separated from the main continent by the Aimian Sea. While the land was scoured not long ago, it has been long enough for legends and stories to have become common knowledge. Aimians are not human and cast shadows towards the light. They are also able to change their appearance and the pigmentation of their skin to create markings such as writing. Getting close to an Aimian is considered bad luck by many cultures on Roshar. -- source link
