Two years ago, her mother, Antoinette, enrolled her at St. Coletta in D.C., a school where each of the 250 students is intellectually disabled, and most require multiple types of therapy. The school relies on funding from Medicaid to employ physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists. Cuts to Medicaid would affect schools across the District, but St. Coletta would be especially hard-hit.
