This small forest cabin located in Northern-Savonia, Finland, was built by a couple with no previous experience in construction. With no road leading to the building site, the logs were cut down nearby and carried to the site. The couple taught themselves how to buck logs and make dovetail joints with the help of YouTube. The windows of the cabin open in every direction. The main window is like a painting of a forest landscape that shifts along with the seasons. The decking is almost as large as the cabin’s floor area, doubling the living space on beautiful summer days.
