richmond-rex:MS Royal 20 E VI — The wedding of Henry V and Catherine de Valois as depicted in a copy of Chroniques de France ou de Saint Denis (from 1422 to 1460) (France, 1487)The illustration is surrounded by the emblems and devices of Tudor and English royalty, including the combined white and red roses of York and Lancaster and the Beaufort portcullis. Dedicated to the first owner of the book, Henry VII, his personal badges of the red dragon and white greyhound figure at the bottom supporting the royal arms of England. The manuscript was presented to Henry VII in 1487 by Sir Thomas Thwaytes who commissioned it from the French scribe Hugues de Lembourg during his time as Treasurer of Calais. The illustrations were probably the work of English artists, though they were left partly unfinished. -- source link
