I grew up with a SoCal brush fire fighter for a father so I pretty much remember chasing flames all my life. If we spotted smoke, we’d track it down and see what was happening. As such, I grew up with a heightened sensitivity to fire smells, weather and wind. I don’t know what sort of damage the #latuna #fire has caused at this point, but I watched it crest over the #verdugo mountains this evening from the #olive street bridge in #burbank over the #5fwy and grabbed a couple pics. I hope the best to the brave men and women fighting this fire in horrendous conditions - at 11:45 tonight it was still 96 degrees out - this one isn’t going to be easy. -- source link
