Kind of like when you say “feminism is for everyone”, but you only talk about female victims, even on issues where men suffer more often. People quickly stop believing that you really mean “everyone” and start their own version. When men join in, the response is often “THIS ISNT ABOUT YOU!” So men made their own thing that was about them…only to be screeched at for thinking they werent included. The notes are so sad on this post. But not unexpected. But wasn’t Kevin Spacey like one of the biggest reveals of the Me Too? And Amber Heard? I heard about both of those as much as I heard about Weinstein. I mean most feminist movements are bullshit for men but this one did seem to get male predators as well Amber Heard used the #metoo movement to make herself pass as a victim of abuse. And it turns out that she was the abuser. She used all the right words to play the victim and get support even though there was overwhelming evidence that she was in fact the abuser and Johnny Depp was the one being abused. All the stories I read were tagging amber heard as the abuser, ie male abuse. And again, Kevin Spacey. I agree with you that male abuse is often overlooked but at least in this case we did have male abuse victims recognized It wasnt the #metoo movement that did that. #metoo was only there when Heard made the accusation and a bunch of people wanted to “cancel” johnny depp. Heard specifically relied on the movement to make him look bad and gain support. Him being found to be innocent was also not due to the #metoo moveement. In fact there are still a ton of people who see him as a n abuser purely off of the accusation despite the overwhelming evidence that she was in fact the abuser. Which ahows a problem within the movement of “believing women” unconditionally. Where mere accusations with no evidence hold more weight than evidence that they were wrong. In addition to people atill treating the accused as an abuser even when they were proven innocent. I can see why you may have been confused since Johnny Depp being found to be a victim of abuse and #metoo having a part in the story, but they are separate. Ah okay. We still have Kevin Spacey, Terry Crews and James Van Der Beek. Obviously it’s not great numbers but it’s enough to at least provide precedent that men can publicly share their stories and call it metoo There is actually an overwhelming amount of people on twitter at least who shoot down any man who speaks up against anyone who isnt a man. Just like feminism has a lot of people who screech “this isnt about you!” And exlude them. There has been a lot of “get your own movement!” Going about for at least a year. And now that some article changed the name and focused on men, people have a problem with it. That they arent or cant be victims and just want to be included because “men are fragile”. Which is supported by the notes where people are only mocking men. When men who use #metoo : *feminist* oh my f*cking God ! Can women not have anything !!?!! Why do men always have to make everything about them!!! Why do they always have to take away the spotlight from women ! MAKE YOUR OWN THING !!! When men make their own thing : *literally the exact same people* oh my f*ucking God . Can men not let women have anything ? Why do men ruin everything and make it about them ?? Lol mens rights go f*cking die . Why do these men have to make everything about them?? ( don’t believe me , look in the notes) Fucking exactly ^^^^^^^^^^ Like how do they get mad that men don’t want to speak up and a community that didn’t want to listen to them to begin with? Like what kind of double victim-blaming bullshit is that? I honestly don’t know how other male victims put up with his website day in and day out. People like those above are why male victims choose suicide over coming forward. This is horrible. Male victims need a voice too! All these arseholes in the notes wouldn’t know equality if it walked up and kicked them in the face. Male victims please don’t silence yourselves because of these cunts, you DO MATTER!! Last picture there, is it ok if they’re not white? Why? For those of you who don’t get the rhetorical question; trashsalad added “white” in front of “men” for extra #woke points, because white men are acceptable targets to many socjus types. Especially the radfems like menalez this post seems to have attracted. Also, does anyone remember when OTHER feminists responded to #HeToo with the claim #MeToo included male victims? Or the many, many times they implicitly told anyone who wanted to discuss male rape victims of rape to stop bothering feminists and expecting them to help? Not to mention how feminists go after people who talk about men’s issues, including other feminists. Up to and including public riots, intimidation, and pulling fire alarms. Also, I didn’t know Terry Crews was white. I remember that. Feminists ignored him for months, and then started championing him…and using him to attack MRAs for not caring. When MRAs had supported Crews from the start. -- source link
