thelastgoodname:dealanexmachina:thecheshirecass:mianakenobi:spookysage:youreagoodliar:Friendly reminder that Padme had a subplot in Episode III where she was going against Palpatine’s actions and she, Bail Organa, and Mon Mothma (her only appearance in the prequel trilogies) basically formed the early version of the Rebel Alliance, but the entire thing was deleted.screw that, I’m elevating this to hostile reminderTHIS PLOT WAS SO GOOD. I mean, Padme was still kicking ass and taking names in politics, we got to see the formation of the Rebellion, and it created some much needed tension between Anakin and Padme. PLUS, pretty much all of the women in ROTS were in these scenes. They all had lines, and they ALL got cut, leaving Padme as the ONLY woman in ROTS that speaks. Shaak Ti even had a small bit at the beginning of the film (where she died), and that was cut. WATCH ALL THE STUFF THEY CUT. It would have made this film SO much better. Plus, MORE BAIL ORGANA. The prequels could have been SO MUCH BETTER if Lucas hadn’t let his head inflate so big he didn’t think he needed and editor anymore. His old editor was his ex-wife.Petition to have Marcia Lucas edit the prequels. -- source link
