demifiendrsa:Netflix has announced that it has made an 8-episode order for Wednesday, a live-action The Addams Family spinoff series focused on Wednesday Addams from Tim Burton.The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday’s years as a student at the peculiar Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago - all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships of the strange and diverse student body. Tim Burton will mark his first TV directorial debut with the series. Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar will write and serve as showrunners with Burton. The trio will executive-produce alongside Kayla Alpert, Andrew Mittman, Kevin Miserocchi, Jonathan Glickman and Gail Berman. -- source link
