kazaikos:I can’t seem to find the right words, and anything I say seems garbled. Nobody can possibly know but me how much these two precious cards mean to me—and I really want to capture the justice they deserve using words but because I can’t seem to, it’s been really hard for me to make a post. If you recognize the style, you’ll know right away the creator of these two cards is Irma Ahmed a.k.a Aimo.Ever since the sketch card world grabbed a hold of me I’ve been enraptured by it all. I wanted one, and really badly too—and of course A/P as the subject. Irma has always been one of my favorite inspiring artists, in my humble opinion she is a queen at her craft, (she also draws A/P just for her own pleasure, which warms my heart). So that’s where I began, in the summer my sister and I e-mailed her for a commission and come winter I had these too un-describable beauties fresh out of the winter-cold package, warming in my hands. The e-mail “Thank You” response I sent back to her was essay length. And I’m still bewildered by all the fine detailing, the card is so only around 2.5” by 3.5 in” in size; it’s incredible what she can do! The card on top is what I had commissioned but the bottom card came as a total welcomed surprise—she made two extra free cards for my sister and I just as an apology for taking a while. :O. I knew this post was going to be text heavy but I can’t help myself, I’m just so happy. But I want to say one final thing; when I gaze at my beautiful commission, I really think this is the most accurate representation of A/P I’ve ever seen. It embodies so much of everything; at once—from the unique personality of their devoted relationship—to the possible happiness they could have had. And now I think I feel some tears coming on. -- source link
