digitaldiscipline: copperbadge: copperbadge:“You stopped petting me, mortal. Now you must suffer.”(This is just how she asks for pets – she extends all he claws and gently pats me with them, not breaking the skin.)[ID: Polk the Tabby is sitting in the co-pilot’s basket next to my computer, one paw outside the basket and waving vaguely threateningly at my left hand, which is resting on the glass surface of my work desk.] memprimeDoes the cat trap (basket) keep the cats contained to where you want them to be and off of where you don’t?It does, for the most part! Dearborn also likes to sleep in it at night because I move around too much for her peace. I originally installed it because both of them wanted to be “where” I was at all times, and when I was at my workdesk they’d come and sit on my wrists or stand in front of the monitor. The basket is warm and comfy so once I installed it (literally, it’s adhered to the desk) they both would come and hang out in that to keep me company instead of getting in my way. Usually one of them’s in the basket and one’s on the bed, unless they’re both napping on the bed. HOWever, Polk has learned that if I’m wearing my big Beats headphones and talking, it means I’m in a meeting, and if I’m in a meeting and she comes to sit in the basket, I will pet her in order to keep her in the basket and off the camera. So now the SECOND I go into a meeting she’s in the basket threatening to jump out of it, and thus I do a lot of meetings without the use of my left hand, which is busy scratching her cheeks. :D You keep Deebs off-camera like some extra? Oh, Tail for Father, Tail for father for ONE THOUSAND YEARS!(the only time I turn ON my webcam for work is to aim it at my cats.) -- source link
